final 30 second video

To edit together my video I used caput. I isolated her voice so all the background noises weren't part of the video. I also added a sad piano instrumental as non-diegetic sound, to make the facts shown at the end more impactful.

Edits to the website

I have decided to change my website pages to the main page and a second page on articles and magazines.

This is because I think I can expand more on this page and create more detail. The work done on my about page will be transferred into the other pages.

First draft magazine

merchandise

 I did a photoshoot of these two models, male and female, to show diverse representations. The pictures taken were in front of a black background to make the clothes stand out. 

On illustrator I merged the pulse illustration used in the masthead of my magazine with the mind logo to create the merchandise.

I then displaced the logo onto the models using photoshop. I followed this tutorial in order to make the logo look like the models were wearing the merch rather than it looking like it had been added post-production

For my 30 second video that will be featured on my magazine website, I have decided to do a charity link with mind. The plan for the video is to show how music can help people struggling with their mental health, but ultimately, how charities like mind can help people struggling. I decided to feature the model also used in my merch to create a direct link. I will also make this merch as a link to mind charity which can be donated to the charity. This creates value transference to the pulse brand and targets my audience.

 For my website, I chose to take pics of my model on the floor in different poses that I could edit together with a filter over the top of them. This was inspired by The Native Mag's website which I looked into when researching competitors independent music magazine website.

This is my first draft of editing the pics together, therefore not perfecr, however I thought the colourful effect added interest that would be seen immediately when people open the website.

I have decided to use the pink filter as it links most with the barbie intertextuality.
